Here at Mooretown we're not perfect people, we don't have life all figured out, but we do know there is a God and His Son, Jesus, died on a cross, rose again, and offers salvation to those who put their faith in him. Today, the Holy Spirit dwells within us as we live our lives to love God and love you, our neighbors.
Mark 12: 30, 31 - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
I think this time of year has a good parellel with the Christian walk. The purpose of Daylight Savings is to allow us more time with sunlight; more time to enjoy the brightness of the day and allow us more time outside with family and friends. As Christians our purpose is to bring "more light" to the world, to bring more of a "brightness" to the life of others, and to encourage one another, and those we have contact with, to take the time to slow life down and enjoy the time we have with family and friends. If the light of Christ will begin to shine more and more in this darkening world, a new hope can "Spring" forth; and each of us has this opportunity to be that light of Christ. May you be willing to let God shine through you, bringing hope and a brightness to the life of another. - Pastor Brad
