Here at Mooretown we're not perfect people, we don't have life all figured out, but we do know there is a God and His Son, Jesus, died on a cross, rose again, and offers salvation to those who put their faith in him. Today, the Holy Spirit dwells within us as we live our lives to love God and love you, our neighbors.
Mark 12: 30, 31 - "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
On Sunday, November 23rd, enjoy a great time with family, friends, and neighbors as we celebrate all that God has done this past year with a Thanksgiving meal. We'll gather together and have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings as we share conversation and good memories with one another. It's a potluck luncheon, but whether or not you have time to prepare and bring something, we'd love to have you there. The Worship service starts at 10:30am with the luncheon to follow (approximately 11:45am). Any questions, please call the church office 810-672-9623 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
The Story is a chronological reading of the Bible done in a seamless, novel format; as the chapter and verses have been removed, along with taking away any repeating events. The Story will take us on a journey from Genesis to Revelation in 31 weeks. The way it'll happen is this: the church will provide for you, free of charge, The Story, which you will take home and read one chapter a week.
Then on Sunday, after reading one chapter, you will join us for an engaging 45 minute Sunday School lesson where we'll dive deeper into that chapter; following this lesson will be a dynamic Worship time with a message that ties it all together, challenging you for the upcoming week.
*This is a church-wide event for the whole family to enjoy, from nursery age through all adults*
So join us this Sunday morning at 9:30am as we continue our journey through The Story.
